Every family has papers worth finding.
Pebblehearth helps households in the Klang Valley bring order to their documents, their stored objects, and the stories they hold — at a pace that suits each family.
Three unhurried services
Each engagement is a discrete, clearly defined piece of work with a written output. Nothing is open-ended; nothing is interpreted.
Estate Document Locator Map
A single two-hour visit, followed by a written one-page map of where your family's key documents actually are — by folder, drawer, and envelope. Includes a labelled index. Purely administrative; no interpretation of content.
- One visit, approximately two hours
- One-page written document map
- Labelled folder index included
Heirloom Storage Survey
Two sessions examining how physical heirloom objects are stored across your home — shelves, cupboards, climate-relevant spots. Output is a written survey with photographs and short notes on each location. No valuations, no insurance advice.
- Two on-site sessions
- Written survey with photographs
- Practical labelling recommendations
Multigenerational Memory Project
A four-month programme: monthly visits, recorded conversations across two generations, scanned photographs at standard resolution, and a printed memory book of approximately sixty pages assembled with your family's narrative. The family retains all originals.
- Four months, monthly visits
- Recorded conversations, scanned photos
- ~60-page printed memory book
What makes this work different
Each service is defined by what it does and does not do. No vague scope, no expanding remit.
Concrete written outputs
Every engagement produces a physical or printed deliverable the family keeps. No process that ends without a document in hand.
Non-advisory scope
Pebblehearth describes and records. It does not appraise, advise on valuations, or recommend any course of action beyond storage care.
Clear time commitment
Each service has a fixed number of visits and a defined end. Nothing is open-ended or subject to unexpected extension.
Privacy-first approach
Notes are taken by hand, on-site. No document content is photographed or stored externally. Families review and approve all outputs.
Home-based visits
All work happens at the family's property. Documents stay where they are — the visit comes to the household, not the other way around.
Family-paced conversations
For the Memory Project, recordings follow the family's own rhythm — no interview scripts, no rushing. The narrative belongs to the household.
Not sure which service fits?
A short exchange by phone or email is enough to clarify which engagement matches your household's situation. There is no obligation involved in writing in.
Things people ask beforehand
How long does the Document Locator Map visit actually take?
The visit is scheduled for approximately two hours. In practice it sometimes finishes a little earlier if a household is already partially organised. The written map and folder index are delivered within five working days of the visit.
Will you move or remove any of our documents?
No. Documents are noted and labelled in place. Nothing is taken away, reorganised, or moved without the household's explicit instruction. The service records what is there; it does not rearrange it.
What happens to the photographs taken during the Heirloom Storage Survey?
All photographs are taken solely to document storage locations for the written survey. They are not shared with third parties, not stored beyond the delivery of the final report, and copies are provided to the household. The content of the images is limited to shelf and storage views, not close-up photography of object surfaces.
Can the Memory Project include family members outside of Malaysia?
The standard programme is structured around in-person visits to the household. Remote conversations with overseas family members can be incorporated as supplementary audio, but the on-site recording sessions in Petaling Jaya remain the core of the programme. This is discussed during the initial consultation.
Do you provide any form of valuation or legal opinion on documents?
No. Pebblehearth's services are purely administrative and archival. We do not appraise monetary value, offer opinions on what documents mean legally, or provide any form of professional advice. If a family needs an appraiser, notary, or other professional, we can suggest where to look, but we are not those things.
Is there a payment instalment option for the Memory Project?
Given that the Memory Project runs over four months, the fee is typically split across the programme period — details are agreed at the point of booking. Please mention this when you get in touch and we will outline the arrangement clearly.
